Having completed the historic channel crossing Airbus is now looking to the future of its E-Fan aircraft.
As a tool for technological development the E-Fan has been invaluable to Airbus. After months of testing the aircraft finally crossed the channel and with this success the company is now looking forward towards the E-Fan 2.0. The long term plan is to eventually develop a production electric aircraft which would primarily be used in pilot training, the E-Fan 4.0. Though this technology is still far off from commercial use it is encouraging to see investment in developing clean power for the air as well as for the road.
