Hong Kong manufacturer FDG Electric Vehicles signs new deals with Chinese firms to deliver thousands of its e-GLORY minibus
Hong Kong’s FDG Electric Vehicles has signed a purchasing agreement with Shanghai Yidong Vehicles Service, under which the latter will acquire 4,500 premium e-GLORY commercial vehicles.
1,000 units of these will be delivered to Shanghai Yidong by the end of 2018.
The two companies have been working together since 2017, in the online (O2O) travel sector, the success of which has led to this additional three-year purchase agreement.
The e-GLORY is a 20-22 seater premium minibus powered by two 74kW motors. A 110kWh battery gives a range of 200-240km, and max speed of 130kph, according to the company.
April 10 saw FDG sign a similar, larger order with Zhong Xuan Lian Automobile Rental (ZXL), under which ZXL will purchase 6,000 e-GLORYs over the next 3 years. The order will be delivered before 2020 while FDG will deliver 1,200 units to ZXL in 2018.
FDG’s spokesperson described the recent continuous orders from clients as a “tremendous success” due to a solid, well-planned strategy.
