4WD EV prototype to be officially revealed at the Tokyo Motor Show
Mitsubishi Motors is to hold the world premiere of its latest electric offering, the e-EVOLUTION CONCEPT at the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show at the end of October.
Announced via a short press release, the single graphic doesn’t give much away either. However the company says that the model “blends Mitsubishi Motors’ signature 4WD electric drivetrain know-how with advanced Artificial Intelligence technology under a low-slung, highly-aerodynamic SUV Coupé shape.”
The news also follows the company’s agreement with the Renault-Nissan Alliance 2022, under which the group will share four common vehicle platforms.
More details won’t be announced until the show, but some are already mourning what might look to be the electric nail in the coffin of the gas-guzzling Evo, beloved of petrol-heads across the world.
Indeed, Mitsubishi’s Outlander PHEV has proven to be a hit thanks to both its sizable ICE and battery. But we’ll have to wait until October to see what the company is capable of if given a bigger battery.
