Taiwan’s Phihong presents its AC32 7.7kW EV charger with UL certification
The AC32 7.7kW AC charger weighs less than 7 kg and includes a 5-meter charging cable with a standard SAEJ1772 Type 1 Plug/Socket. It requires a single-phase 220 to 240Vac input. It can be wall-mounted or free standing, making it suitable for parking lots, service stations, commercial fleet operators, EV infrastructure operators and service providers. The chargers have NEMA Type 3R rating, with an operating temperature range of -30ºC to +50ºC.
A 5-inch LCD monitor displays charging status and an optional RFID reader handles charging authorisation through a built-in RFID reader, which accepts ISO/IEC 14443A/B, ISO/IEC 15693, FeliCATM1, NFC and Mifare cards.
External communications occur through a LAN connection with options for 4G or Wi-Fi. Users are able to manage the chargers remotely and perform operations such as trouble shooting, self-diagnosis, charging status feedback, and firmware remote updates for preventative maintenance.

The AC32 is the first of many products to be introduced in this market with future announcements of portable chargers, mobile chargers and high-power DC chargers coming to the US market in the near future. Early adopters of these technologies such as automobile and truck manufacturers can work with our North American team with early samples of future products releases while agency certifications are completed.”
For automobile manufacturers designing and testing new vehicles for China, special order versions of the AC32 are available with the GB/T charging plug. The AC32 product is compliant with UL2594 and UL2231-1/-2 and is properly labelled for installation in locations requiring UL certification for public building permits.
